How do I obtain a golf green card?
The Green Golf Card is not compulsory in itself. It is a personal initiative for beginners who want to reach a certain level in a supervised way.
It also gives you a better understanding of the philosophy of the game of golf by familiarising you with etiquette and the rules.

Green Card :
Package including up to 4 hours of group lessons per week on Wednesdays at 5.30pm, Fridays at 5.30pm and Sundays at 2pm until you obtain your green card + 3 individual lessons of 30 minutes each.
The green card package is aimed at "resourceful" golfers, i.e. those who have taken an introductory course or have just completed a "No limit" package. Buckets of balls not included.

Is a green card compulsory in France?

If you wish to take part in official golf tournaments (club games), you must hold a FFGolf licence.
In fact, the FFG requires it in order to collect the results and calculate the player index.
For a beginner there's no need to invest in the latest complete golf set to get started. All you need are a few essential golf clubs which are sold as "half series". In general an ideal half-set of golf clubs to get started includes the following clubs:
- A putter to roll the ball over the greens,
- A sandwedge to get out of the bunkers,
- The n°5, n°7 and n°9 irons to hit the ball more or less far,
- A n°3 wood for the starters.
